Division 1.1 and Division Test
Freeware 1992
Ken Winfield
Intro..
Having two children I am concerned about the small amount of
freely distributable educational software on the Amiga. I have written
these two programs to help my children learn division, now I am offering
them to you free. I sure hope they help your kids learn division.
Division 1.1..
This program is the classroom, no grades just practice, practice,
practice. Upon opening the screen (the blackboard comes up) select which
level you want. 1 is the easiest and 4 is the hardest, if you do not
select a level the program will default to level 1. After choosing a
level just hit return, this will display the problem to be solved.
You will need to have a piece of paper and pencil to do your figuring
on. After you solve the problem input your data and hit return, if your
answer is right the word "Right" will be displayed on the blackboard.
If your answer is too low the computer will display "low" on the blackboard
and your last guess will appear at the bottom of the screen. This program
is just like flash cards to learn basic division skills.
Division Test..
Now that you have practice with Division 1.1 it is time for the
test. This program gives no second chances, your answer is either right
or wrong, nothing between. Each test is available at the 4 levels that
you practiced earlier. Each test is 20 Questions with each question
counting 5 points. After your test the computer will display your
score and you will be given a chance to try again.
Installation..
These programs should have no problems running on any amiga
with 1.3 or 2.0 operating systems. They will run from floppy or hard
disk, installation just involves draging the icons to the designation
dir. The font set "DIV" MUST BE ON YOUR SYSTEM DISK TO RUN THESE
programs. Just copy the font div to your sys:fonts/ dir.
Hints..
* If you have trouble press the reset button.
* You must press the return key twice in the test program to
move to the next problem
*In Division 1.1 press the right button to highlight the requester.
*In Division 1.1 the message "to low" should say "too low", sorry
for the bad grammar.
Disclaimer..
Division 1.1 and Division Test are freely distributable as long as
all of its files are included in their original form without additions,
or modifications of any kind, and only a nominal(small) fee is charged
for distribution. This software is provided as is without warranty of
any kind, either expressed or implied.
